I don't want, or even need, to talk about everything going on, but I need to be sure to remember to be thankful for everything. The holiday season is a great reminder to every one of us to be thankful for all that we have, but we need to remember to do this year round. That can be hard to do because life's stresses get in the way, but I need to make it a goal of mine to remember daily what I am thankful for.<br />
<br />
At this moment, on this day, I am thankful for:<br />
1. A loving husband, who I adore.<br />
2. A sweet, excitable, fun loving daughter.<br />
3. A healthy pregnancy with baby boy arriving in February.<br />
4. My health (a big one this year after being diagnosed with stage 1A melanoma).<br />
5. We are employed.<br />
6. A beautiful home to share with my family.<br />
7. Supportive & loving parents.<br />
8. Awesome friends who I can call on at a moments notice.<br />
9. Food on our table and clothes in our closets.<br />
<br />
On a lighter note - I have been in deep thought about this blog for a while. In fact, I have had a draft sitting here for a month that I keep changing as I go through this process. What do I want it to be? Does it have to really be anything at all? There are so many wonderful bloggers out there who have become 'experts' in different arenas and I don't think that is me (at least not yet). I don't even know what I want to blog about, be it my family, our home, general life, etc. It might be a little Seinfeld, but this is a blog about nothing, yet it is about everything. Does that make sense???? Bear with me as I work toward finding who I am through my keyboard!<br />

Let's be honest, a lot of things took a back seat to life in recent months. It is time to get back on the horse and try to make something of this, even if it is just for me. Life shouldn't be an excuse. Let me briefly fill you in on where we are.<br />
<br />
Gabby turned 2 in October. How this happened, I have no idea, but apparently part of having a baby is watching them grow. I can honestly say she is 2 going on 20 and as my brother put it, "she will be a great CEO one day." Agreed. A few one-liners:<br />
<br />
<ul><li>"No sir!"</li>
<li>"Mommy no talk to Gabby like that"</li>
<li>"Drive fast, <u>insert driver here</u>"</li>
<li>"No Sam, I said no!"</li>
</ul>You get the picture. She is quite bossy and definitely repeats everything we say. Some days I am so flabbergasted when she says something to me that I say to her and then I have no idea how to respond. Enter speechless mommy. I guess it is all part of the learning curve.<br />
<br />
Gabby adores school. It is such a blessing and she is thriving. She talks about her friends all the time. I am so thankful that she is able to go and enjoy herself.<br />
<br />
The big thing for 2012 is that she is going to have to start going to daycare. <insert here="" lots="" of="" tears=""> My parents have moved to PA, leaving us with big changes. I haven't found the perfect one yet, but am hoping that something/someone great pops up soon. We could use a bit of good these days! </insert><br />
<br />
2011 brought the sale of our first home together. We are beyond thankful that our home sold. Over the summer we lived with my parents while we built our new home. In September we moved into the new house and LOVE it! We are in a great neighborhood out in the county and have a 1 acre lot, so lots of space to play. There are a lot of little ones in our section, with the oldest being 3.5 yrs old and we have already begun having playdates with the neighbors.<br />
<br />
I think that covers the major events for the past year and quite honestly it was one of the fastest years I can remember. I look forward to 2012 and all that it will bring! Now on to work on one of the goals of 2012...revamping and keeping up with this blog!Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17453993058038482208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669092620314471163.post-88736666490527951192011-02-09T22:20:00.002-06:002011-02-09T22:28:57.254-06:00SchoolToday Gabby and I went to register her for Mother's Day Out for the fall. While speaking with the director she asked if we would be interested in sending her for the rest of this year as the 1 year old classroom had 2 open spaces. As we are discussing this, Brian calls. He was getting ready to get on a plane, but he called. I took it as the first sign that this might be the right thing. Brian and I talked it through and Gabby will start school Monday. As in 5 days from now Monday. ACK!!!! I don't know if I am ready for this, but I am pretty darn sure she is. We visited the classroom this morning and she went right to the teacher and played for a few minutes. Pretty sure I'm going to drop her off on Monday and she won't notice the fact that I left. Makes a momma sad! <div><br /></div><div>Please say a quick prayer for us and the poor teacher who will spend 10 hours a week with my super-active, won't sit still, and sometimes is a bully, sweet girl. She will need all the prayers she can get! Oh, and while you are at it maybe you could also say a quick one for her momma who is sad that her baby is old enough to go to MDO! </div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17453993058038482208noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669092620314471163.post-46095313067606362102011-02-01T21:48:00.005-06:002011-02-01T21:52:23.270-06:00PlaytimeGabby has been fortunate to have had a lot of playtime lately with her friend Hudson. This was Gabby's second time to be near Santa and neither time was very successful. Santa was wonderful; he said hello when we arrived, tried to play peek-a-boo with Gabby and then left her alone when she wasn't showing signs of interest (in reality she was choking Mommy with her death grip). Every once in a while, Santa would walk by and say hello to the kids. She would pout and fuss. Eventually I had to have her sit in his lap so I could get a picture. It is about as pitiful as they get, and Santa felt really guilty! Hopefully next year, we will have more luck!<br />

Gabby had playgroup in the morning. We went to see Santa (that didn't go well AT ALL) and then the girls came over to play. We also did a quick craft; handprint ornaments. They are adorable!<br />

She was a HUGE help putting the ornaments on the tree. Unfortunately, we had to start the ornaments about 3 feet off the ground so she wouldn't be able to reach!<br />

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house because (1) I had never used my china. And (2) we have never had a meal in our dining room, so I figured it was time to finally do both of those things! Thankfully our Thanksgivings are small affairs, with my parents, brother, Brian, Gabby and me. It was my second time to prepare a turkey, and really, I have found that as long as you are watching the clock, the turkey is the easy part. It is much more difficult to work on having the sides ready at a time close to the turkey.<br />
<br />
I think my favorite part of Thanksgiving are the traditions. Ours aren't anything fancy, but my brother and I always watch the parade and football (of course!) and we eat from breakfast through the turkey dinner. And honestly, we could probably do without the turkey dinner because breakfast and snacks are plenty!<br />
<br />
This year, just like every year, we have a lot to be thankful for.<br />
1. Everyone is healthy and happy.<br />
<br />
2. Gabby is thriving and becoming more crazy than ever!<br />
<br />
3. Brian is a loving husband and father.<br />
<br />
4. We have very supportive families.<br />
<br />
5. Our warm home.<br />
<br />
6. We are employed.<br />
<br />
7. Wonderful friends.<br />
<br />
8. Even though he hasn't been as included as he used to be, Sam is the most loyal friend a family could ask for.<br />
<br />
9. Our freedom and safety.<br />
<br />
10. The day after Thanksgiving bargains that you can get just as easily at 10:00am as you can at 4:00am.<br />
<br />
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17453993058038482208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669092620314471163.post-4738817982467992382010-10-10T17:35:00.000-05:002010-12-01T20:22:23.948-06:001st Birthday PartyWhat a day it was! Gabby's birthday turned into a weekend long celebration! She is one very loved little girl by friends and family. We were fortunate to have Uncle Steve, Aunt Tracy, Grandma Mary, my Aunt Carol, and my Grandma Charlotte fly in for the party. The party was a lot of planning and a huge success with lots of friends to help celebrate.<br />
<br />
The best part of the day was the cake. Oh boy did Gabby love it! Some little ones gracefully eat the cake; not Gabby. She dug her hands in and shoved it in her mouth! She was quite drunk off of sugar when she was finished!<br />
<br />
We had a house full of people and we set up cornhole and other games outside to play. The weather couldn't have been better! Also, Brian's newest project, the kegerator, was up and running in time. Needless to say, that is where we found all the dads hanging out!!! Thanks to everyone who came and helped make it a very special day!<br />

Gabby's first birthday is <u><b>TWO</b></u> weeks away! How is it possible that an entire year has passed since her birth?!?! I'm not real sure where the time has gone, but boy what a year it has been. Gabby is definitely her father's daughter. It is so funny that she gets that same smile her daddy has when she is getting into trouble! She is mischievous, curious, joyful, and full of surprises. She is one of the busiest little girls I know. Most kids will sit and play. Not Gabby. She gets a toy and then she must circle the house 12 times holding onto said toy!<br />
<br />
Gabby's vocabulary is expanding quickly! Her first word was Hi, followed by Mama, Dada, woof (yes she barks like a dog), dog, shoes, uh-oh and bus. I'm looking forward to hearing what her next word will be!<br />
<br />
The next couple of weeks will be busy for us as we prepare for Gabby's party! We can't wait to post pictures!Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17453993058038482208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669092620314471163.post-78269079865903440352010-08-31T12:22:00.001-05:002010-08-31T12:25:22.339-05:00Far Too LongIt has been too many months since I last updated the blog. Life has been busy for us and we have been enjoying each day as it comes. A lot of things in life took a backseat to Gabby and her constant movement. But that's okay and how we feel it should be. So, I apologize for the long blogging break and promise to try my best to do better!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihqwNW7LshJ1kHPXBOcsKrobk_XZYB2jS1eaH6SujGgx4VP-wWE-wX3zMlmCdsCc6upRa2Qipn7T5jchLqBYlFi20hItOe9tjNxxE8xx_9VFtVrK42o5bQQrT889kKLgTBK7hgbd6A7ws/s1600/DSC_0907.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="132" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihqwNW7LshJ1kHPXBOcsKrobk_XZYB2jS1eaH6SujGgx4VP-wWE-wX3zMlmCdsCc6upRa2Qipn7T5jchLqBYlFi20hItOe9tjNxxE8xx_9VFtVrK42o5bQQrT889kKLgTBK7hgbd6A7ws/s200/DSC_0907.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>In the last few months we have travelled, explored and played a lot! So far in Gabby's first year she has been to Denver, Houston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Florida, Chattanooga and we are headed to San Antonio soon to visit Uncle Steve! Gabby has done awesome on road trips and in the air!<br />
<br />

She started crawling at 7.5 mo. The day after she started crawling, she started pulling up. Around 9 mo. she started taking a few unassisted steps and just 3 days after she turned 10 mo. she started walking. She has been walking for a couple of weeks now and she is fast! </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm6dEkAbG63MGkoEGD05z_wBWRZ_bYjLlUC0mG75CLmoZkv2qsiaiTvoBUscSDojDb1dzEvR9ZHHxdXY_SLZ-r1JR-xI4IAuNFL8HH6bRgNU9VkSa7nKHxGFIXCTq_ACzmQbrVbf_IuJo/s1600/IMG_2193.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm6dEkAbG63MGkoEGD05z_wBWRZ_bYjLlUC0mG75CLmoZkv2qsiaiTvoBUscSDojDb1dzEvR9ZHHxdXY_SLZ-r1JR-xI4IAuNFL8HH6bRgNU9VkSa7nKHxGFIXCTq_ACzmQbrVbf_IuJo/s200/IMG_2193.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">We weren't sure if Gabby was ever going to get teeth. She got along just fine without them having rejected purees around 7.5 mo. But finally, 3 teeth emerged last month, 2 on top and 1 on the bottom. Teething wasn't much fun, so we were glad to get 3 teeth out of the way at once!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihRtyBdIt6ATjSQV_unLqtrhxVVJXy9R6j34aCUp7EL9FaRhcbZO9BNgqjxsqrkkAJVWlr0lAZgmH66e3-j_lLH8oSQmVDiM7ln7DarwX0piUPGh9UeT47dY3OpRh9A_-D87x0CMFzTtI/s1600/IMG_2254.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihRtyBdIt6ATjSQV_unLqtrhxVVJXy9R6j34aCUp7EL9FaRhcbZO9BNgqjxsqrkkAJVWlr0lAZgmH66e3-j_lLH8oSQmVDiM7ln7DarwX0piUPGh9UeT47dY3OpRh9A_-D87x0CMFzTtI/s200/IMG_2254.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Gabby is still a little peanut. She went to the doctor around her 10 mo. monthday and she weighed 19.5 lbs and was 27 in. tall (30th & 45th%). There are many of Gabby's friends who are younger than her and are taller and weigh more, so it is cute to see her standing next to them!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4KrPN2gKwEuFggEzfW8IgMdO9dyB1ASn8tcQInvrDZzMvjGrUGo6Ow6UiFKu3uwMuF157ZxW4Q7pHVE0eGKz9VciQCzLX-JEKxrYfXOiBz8FGclLY5_DDFJk4n1rGGw6q7-71vNCBz_8/s1600/IMG_2256.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4KrPN2gKwEuFggEzfW8IgMdO9dyB1ASn8tcQInvrDZzMvjGrUGo6Ow6UiFKu3uwMuF157ZxW4Q7pHVE0eGKz9VciQCzLX-JEKxrYfXOiBz8FGclLY5_DDFJk4n1rGGw6q7-71vNCBz_8/s200/IMG_2256.jpg" width="150" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Daddy was home for 2 months again this summer. Gabby and Daddy spent a lot of time together and we were all very sad to see him go. Wouldn't you know that the day he left for work was the day she took off walking?!?!? That's the way it always happens!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKMiw3535surIgkKOgdeU8b1ClzgiTyjHQV_WPaZ2NlyiCicPntSh_N-qUZxGo_glkXsY_38Jdk4Ywv2liRmzqQ70I_T46YY_n3fUi8_GES-SxIkeX2SQhPhk2ZjZiHKIl07dkMLTYAG8/s1600/DSC_1186.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKMiw3535surIgkKOgdeU8b1ClzgiTyjHQV_WPaZ2NlyiCicPntSh_N-qUZxGo_glkXsY_38Jdk4Ywv2liRmzqQ70I_T46YY_n3fUi8_GES-SxIkeX2SQhPhk2ZjZiHKIl07dkMLTYAG8/s200/DSC_1186.jpg" width="133" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Gabby's vocabulary has been growing. Her first word was "Hi" and she will say it as she is walking in and out of the door. It has become apparent that we all talk on the phone too much because one of her "things" is to put her hand to her ear and say "Hi" when the phone rings. It is super cute! She will also say "hot", "dog", and she will woof when she hears a dog barking. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">One of the most exciting things is that Gabby has made friends with a family next door to my parents. They have 4 kiddos, with the youngest being almost exactly one year older than Gabby. I tell you what, Gabby is one tough cookie. She plays and keeps up with the boys and the girls! She will climb the ladder up to the slide by herself (has been since the first of July) and will go down the slide with a little assistance. She will also climb the wrong way up the slide, just like the big kids! She is constantly on the go and it is so funny to watch her playing!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMcZZv2KeDNLiawXJ8xyU-uW1fnrESxC49hZb6JATYzvrJQAHf7A1dcp26HKFNwbeGu4JblhQ0ttaK29VLxdCMMJMnGRLA7pMqwh-ObWkb6AhfbN_Rw371L7ed7JgUiWmKyK6ByABad6k/s1600/DSC_1155.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMcZZv2KeDNLiawXJ8xyU-uW1fnrESxC49hZb6JATYzvrJQAHf7A1dcp26HKFNwbeGu4JblhQ0ttaK29VLxdCMMJMnGRLA7pMqwh-ObWkb6AhfbN_Rw371L7ed7JgUiWmKyK6ByABad6k/s200/DSC_1155.jpg" width="133" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">All in all we have had a wonderful summer enjoying our little girl. Life would be boring without her and she is definitely our little princess. I have begun working on her 1st birthday, as much as it pains me to type out those words. Our little peanut is growing and exploring and making friends and it is a joy to watch her everyday!</div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17453993058038482208noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669092620314471163.post-15840843838589206142010-04-20T10:05:00.001-05:002010-04-20T10:06:58.785-05:00Best FriendsGabby and I recently traveled to Houston to visit Ryan, Katie and Avery and to help celebrate Avery's 1st birthday. I cannot believe she is 1 already! Time has flown by! Even though it was a very short weekend and we would have loved to have stayed longer, we are so glad we were able to spend time together and to celebrate. Avery and Gabby 'played' nicely together and I am sure they will be life long friends.<br />
<br />
We took the girls in search of a bluebonnet patch to snap a few pictures. 200 pictures later, I think we got 20 or so good ones. During the process, poor Gabby face planted twice, but she was a great sport! She is a great sitter, but Gabby reaching for flowers +Hill = Face Plant.<br />
<br />

Katie took us to the airport and usually we both are in tears as we say good bye, but as I pulled Gabby out of the carseat, I noticed her pant leg was wet. I look at the back of her shirt and sure enough, it was wet and stinky too. She had a blowout! So, in the airport drop off lane, we strip her down in the back of the car, give her a bath with wipes and change her clothes. Poor kiddo! The best part was that Katie and I were laughing so hard that we didn't cry saying good bye! We had a great weekend together and can't wait to see them again soon!<br />

</div>We had a great Easter! The weather was beautiful and we were able to spend a lot of time outdoors. We went to one of our favorite Sunday lunch spots, Millers Grocery and enjoyed lunch with my family. Gabby had fun exploring her Easter basket. The Easter Bunny brought her bubbles, books and a few toys!<br />

We are beginning to see changes in you daily. You have begun to sit unassisted for a few minutes which makes is fun to play! We are able to put toys around you and you will reach for them and are playing with them more than you ever have before. You are just now beginning to wear 6 month clothing and can still fit into some of your 3 month things, which is why I call you my "peanut"!<br />
<br />
We have started veggies with you on top of your rice cereal and oatmeal. You really like sweet potatoes, which was your first veggie! You are still waking once a night, but I can go up, nurse you, and be back in my own bed in less than 10 minutes! It is such a joy watching you grow and become more aware of your surroundings. I love that you are beginning to play and that you want us to play with you! This next month will be filled with visitors and a trip to TX and I can't wait to see what it brings.<br />
<br />
Love,<br />

</a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
We have been pretty lazy the past few weeks around here. The weather has been miserable, just as it has been in most places, so we have stayed house bound as it is too cold and wet to be out in it! PS, there is a reason why we live in the south and one of the would be for the warmer weather. Last time I checked, today is March 3rd, yet it was snowing outside, but I digress. Gabby has been changing daily and it is awesome to see her accomplish new things. She has taken a liking to Sam and will watch his every move if he is around. He is pretty good with her considering she has started to grab his hair. She still isn't too interested in being on her tummy, so Grandma Mary found us a mirror that we can place on the floor with her. It is helping encourage longer tummy time and instead of flailing her arms and legs, she is more focused on pushing her head up for longer periods of time since she has a beautiful baby to view!<div><a href="http://www.blogger.com/goog_1267669910820"><br />
</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBdmEIIXMSdwKaAioTkaYyYG3HC3cNTEFwE3AcMB0CFuaRsWIqLNR3urf9DHLwmnfq1opNepEYc_7we4mi88FKm15zgDw5023HZFlos-9iRwGT5cozif7UAxhUFMJhIwgty9sY9sl5DVY/s200/DSC_0211.jpg" width="133" /></div><div><a href="http://www.blogger.com/goog_1267669910820"><br />
</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">We try to hide Gabby from the TV, but sometimes she gets herself pretty comfortable on the couch and wants to be like Daddy. It's pretty funny to watch her. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQKMVyQDIuQTaZfwOTLeTYyG_79i5bAqvz1ar3TON7QDvJIpgsVB2wJlxCsMrTeadYdaVf9c1y-oUorqgsTPU_zVBOMAjP384Lsg7sR30Sox06HiAFiTCM7AuChVSiPj8OpHqddAnav-Y/s1600-h/DSC_0192.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQKMVyQDIuQTaZfwOTLeTYyG_79i5bAqvz1ar3TON7QDvJIpgsVB2wJlxCsMrTeadYdaVf9c1y-oUorqgsTPU_zVBOMAjP384Lsg7sR30Sox06HiAFiTCM7AuChVSiPj8OpHqddAnav-Y/s200/DSC_0192.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div>The other morning I was getting ready for work and had her on her playmat. She was on the other side of the room from the TV and was facing away from it. I was in the bathroom and I peeked out to check on her and she had turned herself around, sucking on her fingers and watching the morning news! She's a fan of Matt and Meredith on the Today Show! I now pull her even further around the corner of the bed to keep her focused on her own toys! I'm just amazed how quickly she is changing, growing and learning new things. It's a new surprise everyday!</div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17453993058038482208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669092620314471163.post-27125456053528534872010-02-24T20:31:00.000-06:002010-03-03T20:31:39.999-06:00Pretty Girl<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />

A few weeks ago, we had a fabulous photographer, Sara from saraerosephotography.com, come and take Gabby's 4 month pictures. We couldn't be more excited to share these with you. There are so many awesome pictures to choose from, but here are a few of my favorites! Sara did an amazing job capturing how happy (and chunky!) Gabby is! I'm looking forward to seeing Sara again for Gabby's 8 month pictures!<br />

For 5 weeks Brian was in Denver for training for work. Gabby and I made her first airplane trip to go visit Daddy halfway through. I must brag that she was the quietest baby on the plane both ways!!! I was stressed on the way out because we had a 2 hour delay and then we sat on the plane for one hour to be de-iced before we eventually took off for our 3 hour flight. It definitely changed our schedule, but Gabby was awesome!<br />
<br />
While in Denver, Gabby met her Great-Grandma Martha and we toured the training facility. As you see, Gabby is now ready to go flying with Daddy! We had a great time in Denver and we look forward to our upcoming trips!<br />

You weigh 13 lbs. 15 oz. and are 24.25 inches long. You are still wearing your 3 month clothes, but in a week or two more I think we will begin the transition to 6 month clothes. You go to bed at 8:00pm or earlier if you are melting down and usually you wake between 5:00 and 6:00am to eat and then go back to bed until 7:30 or 8:00am. We appreciate how much you sleep! You still aren't much for napping, but you are beginning to take a 2 hour nap in the morning. If we could get you to do that in the afternoon, that would be awesome!<br />
<br />
You have changed so much between 3 and 4 months. You love to people watch and you are always wanting to see what is going on around you. You want to play all the time and if you don't like something, you are very vocal in letting us know! You have also begun to "talk" and you will carry on a conversation with anyone who listens. Bathtime is still your favorite time of day. Mommy's favorite time is when we bring you into our bed first thing in the morning and we spend family time together! Everyday is a new adventure and you amaze me more and more!<br />
<br />
Love,<br />

They came to visit Miss Gabby and we had a wonderful time. It was fun having four generations of Sachs women together. We don't have a weight or length measurement as there is no doctors appointment this month, but I do have to say you have grown tremendously. You are still wearing 3 mo. size clothing and still have plenty of room to grow into!<br />
<br />
As you see in the picture, you sure are smiling more often. You are a very happy baby most of the time! You now giggle if you find something funny, you talk to your toys and to us and you absolutely LOVE bath time! You usually go to bed around 8:00pm and I can count on you getting up around 6:30am. There have been times that you wake between 4:00am and 6:00am, but those nights are less frequent. You are much more alert and aware of everything that is going on around you, therefore you are very curious. If you see something of interest you furrow your brow and focus on that object intently. I think you are going to have your Daddy's curiousity!<br />
<br />
We love you more and more as each day passes and we feel very blessed to be your parents!<br />
<br />
Love,<br />
<br />

We had a wonderful Christmas! Gabby enjoyed looking at all of her new toys. I have put most of them away to bring out as she gets older. It will be like Christmas all over again! I got a new camera (that I love!) and am having so much fun capturing some of Gabby's best moments. I am looking forward to learning more about photography so that I can continue to capture those moments. <br />
</div><div></div><div>Grandpa Jim and Grandma Christy visited right before Christmas. After Christmas, Grandma Mary came to visit. We loved having everyone here and I know they all enjoyed spending time with Gabby. It was special for each of them to spend time with Gabby during her first Christmas. She is very much loved by all of her family! In a week, Gabby's great-grandma, great aunt and cousin are coming to visit. It will be a fun girls weekend!<br />
